★ Every living thing helps to form a very colorful rainbow in this big, beautiful world. Some have lighter skin, some have darker skin, and others fall somewhere in between. It’s not just our skin that comes in a multitude of colors: it’s also our hair and eyes. Some of us have freckles, and some don’t.
★ As a giraffe, Paige towered above all the other animals. However, she was young and lived in an area where the trees were so tall, even she couldn’t reach their leaves! Paige was hungry and didn’t have enough food to eat.
Zippy the Zebra found out that Paige hadn’t eaten lately. Zippy called her friends over to help gather food for their new giraffe buddy. First, Kasey the Koala climbed up a tall tree with her monkey friend, Blue. Then Kasey and Blue chewed off some branches with leaves on them.
Back on the ground, Casey jumped on the zebra’s back, then Blue climbed up on Casey’s shoulders. The three were as tall as Paige now! They used their "food chain" to pass the branches to Paige, who was so happy to make new friends that care so much about her.
